Many people desire a set of straight, white teeth to improve. Porcelian Veneers are thin pieces of durable, tooth colored porcelain that are custom made (to provide improved shape and color) by our master technician. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to enhance your beautiful, attractive smile. With veneers, Dr. Raanan can completely reshape your teeth and reinvent your smile. In many cases, porcelain veneers are a great alternative to crowns. Porcelain veneers offer the ideal solution for treating many dental conditions.
As with natural teeth and all dental restorations, veneers are not always permanent. They are subject to possible wear and / or structural damage, so they may someday need maintenance or replacement. They are quite durable, though and with proper care they will last for many years, giving you a long lasting enhancement to your beautiful smile.

- Do you want a more Uniform, White, Beautiful Smile?
- Do you want to Correct Unwanted or Uneven Spaces Between Teeth?
- Do you have severely discolored or stained teeth (beyond scope of tooth whitening)?
- Do you have Uneven or Crooked teeth?
- Do you have Worn-down, Broken, or Chipped Teeth?
- Do your teeth appear too small or too large?
What does getting Porcelain Veneers entail?
In as little as two appointments, requiring little or no anesthesia, veneers placed by Dr. Raanan will keep people guessing about what’s new with you, while you enjoy all the complements! During your first appointment, Teeth that are to receive porcelain veneers will be lightly buffed and shaped by Dr. Raanan as needed to allow the thickness of the veneer. When shaping is complete, a mold (or impression) of the teeth will be made, to serve as a pattern for the veneers to fit, and a color (shade) will be selected by you, Dr. Raanan, and our master technician and customized specifically to you.
On your second visit, the teeth will be cleaned with special liquids to prepare them for a durable bond. Dr. Raanan will place bonding cement between the veneer and the tooth, and then cure with a special light beam that causes the cement to harden.
Dr. Raanan will give you care instructions for proper maintenance of your veneers. With proper brushing, careful flossing and regular dental visits, your smile will be enhanced for many years by your new porcelain veneers.
Is this procedure painful?
No, this procedure is not considered painful. Patients can experience some sensitivity when the tooth is being prepared. Porcelain dental veneers may or may not need local anesthetics or Sedation Dentistry techniques. Dr. Raanan offers these techniques at our practice in Beverly Hills for a painless experience. Dr. Rodney Raanan utilizes his extensive training, skills, and experience to give his patients the most relaxing, comfortable office visit possible.
What should I look for in choosing a dentist for Porcelain Veneers?
Many general dentists with only dental school training claim to be a cosmetic dentist. When considering Porcelain Dental Veneers, patients should look for an aesthetic dentist with an Advanced Specialty Degree in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Rodney Raanan received three additional years of training after dental school at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, accredited by the American Dental Association, and has many years of experience in placing beautiful aesthetic Veneers.
